JointMAXe

JointMAXe is our exclusive solution to your need for healthy joints and joint relief. Now with Quercetin! The Arthritis Pain Epidemic in North America has reached enormous proportions. Millions of people suffer from some form of arthritis, with a huge impact on their quality of life.

According to a 1990 study, Management of Pain, more than one-third of the U.S. population suffers from chronic pain. The medical costs of disability due to chronic pain are said to exceed $100 million a year.
The search for effective and safe arthritis alternatives without side effects has led to the increasing popularity of natural health products, such as this formulation.

MSM is organic sulfur, a compound that occurs naturally in nature and in the human body. It is necessary for the structure of every living cell. Hormones, enzymes, antibodies, and antioxidants all depend on it. And because the body utilizes and expends it on a daily basis, MSM must be continually replenished for optimal nutrition and health. The nutritional benefits were unknown until discovered by chemical researcher Robert J. Herschler in the early 1980s.

MSM originates in the oceans where microscopic plankton release sulfur compounds into seawater, which is quickly converted to DMS, a volatile sulfur compound that escapes into the atmosphere. In this suspended, gaseous state, the DMS reacts with ozone and ultraviolet sunlight to create DMSO and DMSO2, known as MSM. MSM then falls to the earth with the rain, where it is collected and concentrated in plants. Although MSM is abundant in nature, even the richest natural sources only provide MSM in the level of several parts per million. Commercial "harvesting" of MSM is not possible. MSM is produced by oxidizing DMSO. This process replicates the exact natural compound.

MSM is a sulfer-based pain-reducing agent. It blocks the transmission of impulses in nerve fibers that carry pain signals. It also decreases pain by altering cross-linked collagen, resulting in less scar tissue.

Chemically speaking, it belongs in the same family as oxygen, for in an oxygen-deprived state, sulfur often replaces oxygen as a provider of chemical energy for the sustaining of life. MSM is related to DMSO (dimethyl sulfoxide).

Earl L. Mindell, R.Ph., Ph.D., states “MSM is fast becoming a leader in helping pain sufferers. It is a safe, natural and effective solution for many types of pain and inflammatory conditions. With all the serious, toxic, side effects of many drugs on the market today, MSM is a health aid that should be offered as a healthy alternative by doctors and health practitioners everywhere.

Health Benefits from Glucosamine

Glucosamine has been shown to improve joints by stimulating the production of glycosaminoglycan (GAG). Without GAG, the collagen matrix loses its gel-like nature and its ability to act as a shock absorber. The body’s intrinsic production of glucosamine decreases in some people as a natural result of aging. The inability to produce glucosamine may be a major factor leading to osteoarthritis.

It has been shown the longer the use of glucosamine, the better its therapeutic effect. Long-term use of Glucosamine produces better long-term results than NSAIDs as determined in double-blind studies conducted to compare the two. While NSAIDs concentrate on symptomatic relief, GS appears to address the cause of OA.

Glucosamine helps the manufacture of collagen, the protein part of a fibrous substance that holds your joints together. Collagen is the major component of the shock-absorbing cushion "articular cartilage" which is the white smooth surface that covers the ends of your body joints like fingers, wrists, knees, and others.

Glucosamine helps bind water in the body's cartilage matrixes. It has been shown to increase collagen and normalize cartilage metabolism, to help keep your cartilage from breaking down. Glucosamine can kick start the production of cartilage main elements and protect them at the same time. Glucosamine can help the body fix damaged cartilage in your body. Health Benefits from Chondroitin

A growing body of evidence tells us that, chondroitin, like glucosamine, slows the progression of arthritis. An important study showed that individuals taking a placebo showed progressive joint damage over the year, but among those taking chondroitin sulfate no worsening of the joints was seen. In other words, chondroitin sulfate seemed to protect the joints of osteoarthritis sufferers from further damage.

Health Benefits from MSM

Stanley W. Jacob, M.D., as the Gerlinger Professor at Oregon Health Sciences University, has been studying the effects of MSM upon the body for more than 20 years. His research reveals that MSM is a basic element essential to the many structures and functions of the human body. Because of this, supplementing an MSM deficient diet with pure, food-grade MSM may result in a variety of benefits.

ALLERGIES - MSM helps the body maintain its natural barriers against allergens, which alleviates the allergic response to pollen, dander and foods. MSM supports the integrity of healthy mucous membrane tissue.

HAIR, SKIN, and NAILS - Sulfur is necessary for the production of collagen and keratin. These are the primary proteins that make up hair, skin, and nails. MSM supports tissue pliability and encourages the body's ability to repair damaged skin.

BONES, JOINTS, and LIGAMENTS - Sulfur is necessary for the formation of all healthy body tissues including bones, joints, ligaments, and tendons.

CARBOYDRATE METABOLISM - Sulfur is needed to produce insulin and other vital components that contribute to healthy carbohydrate metabolism.

GASTROINTESTINAL - MSM promotes proper digestion and absorption of nutrients. MSM supports healthy metabolism and digestion of starches, fats and proteins.

RESPIRATORY SYSTEM - MSM assists healthy lung function by supporting the cell membranes involved in oxygen and carbon dioxide exchange.

Health Benefits from Green Shell Mussel

Green shell mussel has been used successfully to treat degenerative joint disorders for over 20 years. It has been found beneficial in reducing pain, stiffness and inflammation in the afflicted areas as well as increasing joint mobility. Recent studies conducted at Clemson University show that green shell mussel has immune modulating properties that may slow down the pro-inflammatory cascade that one sees in arthritis.

Green shell mussel is a powerful anti-oxidant, which provides a natural source of mucopolysaccharides (MPs) & superoxide dismutase. MPs are critical components of the body, maintaining its structural integrity. The content of MPs in the body changes when inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid and osteoarthritis, bursitis, gastritis, colitis, eczema, are present. Superoxide dismutase (SOD) is an anti-oxidant enzyme which detoxifies superoxides and other free-radicals that can damage tissues and membranes.

There are no major food sources of glucosamine, so people who want to take it must take supplements. Liberty's GCMSM derives it's Glucosamine from chitin, the hard outer shells of Chinese Sea Crab, Chinese Sea Shrimp, and Alaskan Snow Crab.
